Lunch hour doesn’t have to equal a fast food drive thru. Hutson Alley to the rescue!
Bread served straight from the oven (aka, soft and warm) is a heavenly way to begin your meal. Add butter and it’s truly a salvation experience.
It doesn’t get any better than Truffle Potato Soup and Beef Tartare. Bet you never thought you’d say appetizer in the middle of a workday. I still can’t get over the fact that these are appetizers. We had to force ourselves to stop eating so we’d have room for the main entrees.
Escape the fluorescent lights of the office and dine (yes, I said dine) on the patio. You might as well take advantage of the seventy degree temperatures in January. Delicious quiche of the day was bacon and blue cheese….OMG!
Mouthwatering Braised Beef Sandwich caused me to use my napkin before my fork. Huge portions – go ahead and ask for a to-go box with your entree.
Vacherin certainly should be billed as a table dessert. Raspberry sorbet, vanilla bean ice cream, toasted almonds, meringue, and whipped cream is plenty for a party of four(teen)! Once again, a pleasurable time was had by all. We always enjoy our time on Hutson Alley. The staff at 39 Rue de Jean gets five stars from us! We can’t wait to return.
Don’t just have lunch – experience it! Make 39 Rue de Jean your lunch time spot during the workday.
You can thank me later.
